Online Reviews/Forums/Social Media

Extensive research gathering information about users’ experiences with and opinions on Vinyl Conflict, a record shop in Richmond, Virginia.

Figma, Adobe Photoshop

  • Vinyl Conflict doesn’t have one central online place for users to buy records, explore merchandise, see digital records, or just learn about the store.

  • People that visit the store in person but don’t live in Richmond don’t seem to know they can purchase records from the store online.

  • How do you incentivize an archaic technology? Do you need to?

How might we create a seamless and centralized online experience that keeps both out-of-town and local fans informed about Vinyl Conflict’s offerings, from records and merchandise to store information?

The Solution (Protype)

Giving shape to our wireframe involved going deeper into what the people love about Vinyl Conflict and record shop at large - searching through boxes of vinyl, being able to see all your choices at once, a slight edge. Our goal was to create an online experience that not only consolidated all of Vinyl Conflict’s products, but also conveyed the Vinyl Conflict experience and feel.
